Presentation of WOODSTOCK Premium quality wood pellets

These pellets are made in France and do not contain any element or chemical substance. The pellet is 20 mm long and 6 mm in diameter, rather correct measurements. Indeed, a pellet normally measures between 15 and 20 mm with a maximum diameter of 8 mm. These Premium quality WOODSTOCK pellets are delivered on pallets of 78 bags. We count 15 kg for the mass of the bag. This product is suitable for all wood-burning appliances intended for pellets (insert, stove or boiler).

Guarantee of the quality of this range of WOODSTOCK pellets, the DIN Plus certification. Established in Germany, this indicator is now part of the European benchmarks. The DIN Plus certification indicates that the manufacture  of wood pellets  has complied with the standards in force for the production of this type of material.

Characteristics of WOODSTOCK Premium quality wood pellets

WOODSTOCK pellets are made entirely of virgin wood. Their calorific value is between 4.8 and 5.3 kWh/kg. For precision, the calorific value provides information on the amount of heat that the material can produce during combustion. The pellets presented on this page guarantee complete combustion. The heating performance is thus maximized thanks to this.

Furthermore, the apparent density of WOODSTOCK pellets is less than 650 kg/m3. This value provides information on the density of a granule from this product range. A pellet will produce more heat if its density is high. On the other hand, the higher the density, the more the material will release fewer fines. It can be said that   WOODSTOCK Premium quality wood pellets are dense with an apparent density of 650 kg/m3. They can thus produce a lot of heat while generating fewer fines.

Fines are the fragments of wood fibers that make up the pellets. These small splinters of wood burn faster than the pellets themselves. Moreover, their combustion gives flames without heat. Their concentration affects the quality of wood pellets. The more of these fragments, the more dangerous the product will be for the heater. Fines are actually capable of damaging a device. Premium quality WOODSTOCK pellets have a fairly low level of fines, namely less than 0.5%. They would thus be able to pose a threat to heating installations.

The ash content at 550°C of these WOODSTOCK pellets is less than 0.5%. The volume of ash generated at the end of the combustion is thus reduced. There is also a humidity level below 8%. WOODSTOCK Premium  quality wood  pellets are dry enough to generate good quality combustion. The durability rate determines the ability of a pellet to resist shocks and friction during storage or transport. The higher its value, the more resistant the pellet will be. WOODSTOCK pellets have a durability rate of over 97.5%.
